Do not say the local utilities are connected. You can say the other home services are set up on the call.
"We took care of the utilities" is the sentence to retire. It hides a split your client needs. Utility Connect sets up internet, TV, satellite, phone, home security, insurance, home warranty, and movers, and deregulated electricity on a call with them. Gas, water, trash, and electricity in a regulated market are located and sent to them. They enroll in those, because the providers require it. If your marketing says the local utilities are connected, you have described a job nobody in the handoff is allowed to finish.
You can promise an introduction to a call that sets up the other home services with the client. You can promise they will receive the local-utility information: who serves the address, the phone numbers, and how to enroll. You can promise the household is not billed by Utility Connect for that call. You can promise a reminder that the local enrollments are still theirs.
"We will make the first week easier by setting up internet and the other services with you, and by showing you exactly who to call for water, gas, trash, and regulated electric" is a real service. "We already handled the city" is a claim about accounts outside your contract and ours.
Local service happens after the client enrolls and the provider accepts the date. The other services happen when they are set up on the call and those providers confirm. If the client never enrolls in the local list, the internet confirmation will not fill the pipes.
An agent tells a coordinator "utilities are handled" meaning the link was sent. The coordinator tells the client "you're all set." The client hears that water was opened. Kill the shorthand. Say "call scheduled" or "local info sent, client still needs to enroll." Do not name a CRM stage "utilities connected." It will be checked off at the wrong time.
If a past campaign still says you connect the local utilities, take that line down. If the client repeats the bad sentence back, correct it the same day in writing. "The call sets up the other services with you. Gas, water, trash, and regulated electric are in the email, and you enroll. Nothing on that list is on until those companies confirm it to you."
Yes, if the next sentence includes both jobs. The title alone drifts into "they connected everything."
Let them. You will be the office that described the enrollment the client actually had to do.
Yes, for the household. Do not say the utilities themselves are free. Deposits and monthly bills belong to the providers.
